Your presentation design helps you deliver an excellent presentation with great confidence.
The following guidelines help you design your presentation step by step. Remember to accompany these recommendations of the presentation design with the good presentation tips and presentation body language skills guide.
1- Make a creative opening to your presentation:
You can always make your own unique presentation opening. A good example sets with a presenter who was addressing the CEO of major airlines in the US. He was called upon by the organizer to take the floor. He didn’t not. For 10 minutes or so all these CEO and executives awaited his appearance. When they started to leave their seats, he suddenly showed up and made his opening: “Ladies and Gentlemen, sorry about being late…but this is how your airline passengers feel when your planes are late in departure”!
Begin with making sure that the audience is ready to receive the message. This is a milestone in your presentation design.
Then communicate the message. Make sure that the audience listens, receives and understands the message.
· Analogy related to the subject
· A strong quote
· Get the audience to do something: eg Ask the audience to stand up and stretch if your presentation is the third in a row!
· Ask a question
· Use imaginary situation
· Use humor
· Refer to a current new
· Use a controversial opening and quickly qualify it.
2- Introductory opening remarks about the Subject:
Your introductory opening is very improtant in the presentation design phase. Here are some advices for good introductions and openings for your presentation:
· Welcome the people attending and introduce them if it is a meeting.
· Indicate the time schedule and planned breaks
· Check that everyone can see the visual aids.
· Acknowledge the start of the presentation
· Mention your name and your preferred name.
· Mention whether or not you can take questions about the subject or you intend to handle them later.
3- For each mini-subject, have a:

3. Costs
4. Project Implementation Plan
5. Conclusion and Next steps
b. Body
c. Summary
d. Conclusion to lead in to the nest Mini-subject or the final conclusion
4- Overall conclusion:
a. re-stet your recommendation
b. Ask for approval
c. Explain benefits for early Yes
5- Closing remarks
a. Briefly summarize your presentation
b. Summarize key conclusions
c. State where the next meeting will take place or presentation plans
