To deal with difficult people properly helps you manage your daily stress
atDealing with difficult people a level that keeps you healthy. You
neighbor could be a bully, your boss at work could be stubborn or hating
you for no good reason, your spouse could be turning your life into daily
misery.

Knowing how to deal with difficult people is an art that you can learn by
following these simple steps:

Be the King

Difficult people can make you angry very easy even if you are the cool
type of a person who never gets angry. This is because you take what
they say seriously. If your boss makes you angry, you would probably
take his or her word seriously because you know that he can sack you
or deprive you of your job. You might consider the actions of you
neighbor irritating because you think he is more powerful than you or for
some reason within you give more weight than he deserves.

Feeling that you are the king helps you with dealing with difficult people.
Always think of yourself as the master of these people that make you
angry. Give them their right weight or just ignore them. If you think that
your boss can sack you, thinking that you are the king helps you believe
that you can find another job even if it pays less.

Count to 10

When you feel that a neighbor is driving you crazy and you feel that you
should retaliate by hurting his or her, count to 10. This is not the right
way to handle the situation. Take a deep breath and think. If you
believe that what he or she is doing is not legal, you guess it; report the
issue to the police. No need to get angry. If your garden is damaged,
the law will make you neighbor fix it or compensate you.

Be Proactive and not re-active

You might feel angry when you are surprised with a situation that you
never anticipate and it is against your wish. If you are a proactive
person, always think ahead of the person’s actions that might hurt you.
Thinking ahead helps you deal with difficult people more easily because
you know their next step.
